Our Grade 4 Class – HOME

From the Grade 4 Class.

The students are learning about natural resources in Manitoba. One of these includes oil.  They have learned about the importance of reducing the use of oil to minimize the destruction of ecosystems that takes place in the open pit mining of oil.  The booklets they have made that show some of the items that have been manufactured with some oil as an ingredient  are being displayed in the Pinawa Public Library and the F. W. Gilbert Library. Clicking on the pictures will enlarge them.

   

Measuring is important when you are baking!

Students get a chance to bake a birthday cake in the month of their birthday. They have lots of fun sharing it with the class, too!

What are you planning to do for March break? Remember to edit your sentences for capitals and ending punctuation.  Make sure your comments make sense. These things have to be correct before it can be published or your readers won’t understand what you are saying!

The grade four class will have a Valentine’s Party from 2:30 -3:30 on Tuesday, February 14th.  They may bring valentines to pass out if they would like. Please see the class party list on the blog  to see if it is your turn to bring a treat to share. Please comply with our school policy of keeping treats healthy.

The grade 1,2 and 4 classes visited the Ironwood assisted living residence on Oct. 31st. They enjoyed showing off their costumes.

The grade four students were learning how to find the cardinal directions using compasses.
